Mega-mosaic pointing around the center of the Milky Way. Original image is 21,448 pixels wide. The image is a composite stitching together four different images I've also produced (Between Rho, Sco and Sag, The Teapot, Cosmic Palette and Downtown Milky Way) all covering one part or another of this particular vista. It's the equivalent to about 60 +/- panes mosaic and (guessing) roughly between 60 and 80 hours of exposure. The registration/alignment was particularly hairy at times, which results in some distortion, particularly in the right area of the image. Gear: Takahashi FSQ106EDX, SBIG STL11k CCD, Takahashi EM400 mount, tons of coffee :-)

J'hésitais avec le g/astronomie, mais n'ayant pas plus d'infos sur le sujet, je pose ça ici !(et ouais, copier/coller de batard pour les explications !)
